Racism

Racism. Think about that word. Why is it used by so many? God says in his word:
(Galatians 3:28 KJV)
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Notice he didn't mention "race." The only time "race" is mentioned in his word is when it refers to running. There is only one race that exists: The human race.
So what do people mean when they use the word, "race." I suppose if you took a poll, you would receive many different opinions. Are black skinned people a different race than so-called, white skinned people? Are Asians a different race than Europeans? Are Mexicans a different race than so-called, white Americans, etc?
When people refer to someone being "white," are there actually any white skinned people? Well, if a "white" person compares their skin to a white T-shirt, for example, that person's skin is definitely not white. Turns out, the reality is, we are ALL varying shades of brown. Some are lighter and some are darker, but we're all brown to some degree.
And what about so-called, "mixed races?" Persons with one white parent and one black parent. What "race" are they? Folks loved to call Barack Obama the first black president, but his mother was "white."

My contention is, a lot of people who push the "race" narrative have something to gain by it. Whether it be a politician wanting votes. Or a "race baiter" wanting donations to their cause. Or someone who doesn't want to take personal responsibility for their life decisions and wants compensation in some form because they believe they are a victim. Others just use it as an excuse to act out and riot by destroying property and injuring people. And many others just don't think for themselves. They are taken in by group think.

So much death, destruction, monetary loss, and seething hatred over what? When it comes down to it, it's over something as meaningless as the color of someone's skin. How utterly tragic. We all bleed the same color. God definitely doesn't look at us and separate us by skin color. He doesn't even look at us as sinners in this dispensation of grace.

He has reconciled himself to us:
(2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV)
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Your sin does not separate you from God today. That is what Christ accomplished by his finished cross work. That is God's gift to you. So, are you going to accept the gift by believing in the gospel that saves today, or are you going to hang on to your pride and reject the gift? Your gift has been delivered to you. It's yours. Are you going to open the front door and accept it, or are you going to leave it on the porch and reject it?
That's really all there is to being saved today. How do I know? By reading and believing and trusting what God tells us in this verse.

Notice the words, "the gospel," in verse 1:
(1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV)
(1) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
(2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
(3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
(4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Make today YOUR day of salvation:
(2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV)
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Why wouldn't you?
Grace and Peace
