John 3:16 is NOT YOUR MAIL

The following is brought to you by TruthTimeRadio.com
Robbie writes, Why is it that you don't believe that we're supposed to follow the doctrine of John?
Good question, Robbie, and I've got one for you.
Do you believe that you have to be circumcised to be saved?
No, and I didn't think so.
In that case, you don't believe that the book of John was written to you either.
Not if you believe the Bible.
Galatians 2:9, John 4:22, and Acts 11:19.
Let's look at those.
In Galatians 2:9, Paul said, When John perceived the grace that was given unto me,
he gave to me in Barnabas the right hands of fellowship that we should go to the heathen,
and he unto the circumcision.
Now, that's what Paul said.
But what about John?
Did he agree with Paul?
Apparently so.
John in chapter 4 verse 22 of the book of John said this, Ye worship ye know not what, we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
So even though tradition claims John wrote instructions to us, he himself disagrees.
And here's a matter of fact.
Even as late as the 11th chapter of the book of Acts, the circumcision was still preaching to other circumcised Jews only.
Look at Acts 11 verse 19.
Here, Luke writes, Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travailed as far as Phinehas and Cyprus and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
Robby, to be a Jew you had to be circumcised.
To be a Jew you had to be water baptized.
And it always amazes me that people choose one but not the other.
John wrote to the circumcision, just as we just read.
And if you compare what we just read with what Paul wrote, things become clear.
Now, keep a clear head and stay with me here for a moment.
We just read where the apostles, not Paul but the other apostles, were preaching their gospel to, and I quote, None but unto the Jews only, Acts 11 19.
And we just read where John said, quote, Salvation is of the Jews, John 4:22.
And we read where the apostles, including John, met with Paul and agreed that Paul's gospel was for the uncircumcised, but theirs were for the circumcision, Galatians 2:9.
So it's obvious to a Bible believer that at one time in the Bible there was a distinction being made between Jew and Gentile.
Now, with that in mind, don't lose track here.
Look at what Paul wrote.
Look at what Paul wrote about there being a distinction between Jews and Gentiles.
Romans 3:29.
Is he God of the Jews only?
Is he not also of the Gentiles?
Yes, of the Gentiles also.
You see, Paul was recognizing that at one time there was a distinction.
But now, but now, Paul is saying, in my gospel, information has been revealed to me that there is no longer a distinction being made.
And look in Romans chapter 9 verse 24.
Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles.
Wait a minute, Paul. Are you sure?
Are you sure that you meant to say, not of the Jews only?
Paul, John said, to none but the Jews only.
However, you're saying, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles.
You see, John wrote to the Jews only, Galatians 2:9.
Salvation at one time was of the Jews only, John 4:22.
The evidence is clear, tradition is not.
Truth lines up with the scripture, not your tradition.
Now, if you want tradition over truth, okay, that's fine, but you're listening to the wrong program.
Christ gave Paul new information that things had changed.
And it was Paul that Christ appointed to write down the changes, the instructions for us to follow today, the instructions according to the dispensation of the grace of God.
Paul wrote that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man, for I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Robby, you'll find that in Galatians chapter 1 verses 11 and 12.
