America's FALSE Preachers

Welcome to Truth Time, where you'll get a shot of the truth with no chaser.
And now, your Truth Time host, Trey Searcy.
We are thankful to have found Truth Time.
There's a teacher we were watching, but lately has gone off into areas that aren't
pertinent to the teachings of Paul.
With each new video, he seems to drift further away.
Trey, we have prayed about it and have concluded that he must be doing this out of his own self-interest.
We actually found your channel due to you exposing his false teachings.
To say we were grateful to find you would be an understatement, but it's the first word that comes to mind.
Ok, Colossians 2:6 is where Paul tells us, As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.
How did I receive Christ?
By grace through faith.
Faith in what?
His finished cross work.
I believed the gospel.
I believed the good news.
The good news of what he did with my sins and how he rose from the grave.
So how do I walk in him?
How do I daily walk this out?
What do I find myself most often thinking about?
What's the topic of my conversation?
Where do I find rest?
Each day of our life we should be living by grace through faith.
Paul wasn't just flippantly talking here.
It's the center point of our conversation, of our teaching.
It's all about Christ and what he accomplished on the cross.
Nothing else.
And that's why, listen, that's why Paul said, For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ and him crucified.
Oh, that's beautiful.
As ye therefore received Christ Jesus, so walk ye in him.
Think about those words.
As ye therefore received Christ Jesus, so walk ye in him.
How did we receive him?
By grace through faith.
So how do we walk in him?
By grace through faith.
I'm quite certain, I know the teacher that you mentioned.
Well, it's sad.
But what is even sadder is the people who have, they've lined up and allowed him to pied piper them out into la-la land.
We have those who are under the impression that the cross is, well that's the starting point.
As if they've advanced beyond that.
And so when you listen to their teaching, they go on to run you down all sorts of bunny trails, leading you away from your true purpose.
The purpose that you have in Christ.
Which is to be an ambassador, equipped with the ministry of reconciliation.
Hey, how you received Christ, by grace through faith, deciding that you were going to stop all you're doing and trust him and his finished cross work.
Trust in that for your every sin and his eternal life giving resurrection.
Hey, that is the start and the finish.
It's the start, the finish, and everything in between.
The cross is not the A-B-C of your faith.
It's the A-Z of your faith.
Paul said if we consider what he says, 2 Timothy 2:7, the Lord would give you understanding in all things.
Well, we'll never have understanding in all things if we can't get the cross right.
The gospel of our salvation.
It's the foundation to our understanding of other things.
Other things found in scripture.
Everything stems from the cross.
You, me, we, I include myself here, will never understand the vast subjects in God's word until we get the sin issue correct.
Until we get the salvation issue correct.
And the two are not synonymous.
Forgiveness and salvation are different.
So, like building a new home or any new construct for that matter, you'll be faced with some major issues if your foundation is off.
Some of our teachers are skipping over the cross work to teach what they consider to be the deeper things of God.
Hey, there is nothing deeper.
There is nothing deeper than what Christ did on the world's behalf at Calvary.
Nothing.
You'll only struggle and often times come up short if you try to teach all these other things while you don't even have the gospel right.
Having yet to completely understand what Christ achieved, but going on and trying to explain and teach other things will only leave you and those that are following you into more confusion.
It's just giving them one more rabbit trail to follow.
Nothing wrong with teaching other subjects in scripture.
Oh no, we indeed should, absolutely.
But our answers should be a reflection of our having an understanding of the ministry of reconciliation and how God is not counting the world's sins against them.
But as our listener identified, there are some who don't.
They simply do not have that understanding, and their rabbit trails are nothing more than time zappers.
And Paul specifically instructed us to be redeeming our time, not wasting it.
This is serious, my friend.
Ephesians 5, redeeming the time because the days are evil.
Time just might be our most valuable commodity.
Be careful what you do with it.
That's a good question.
Okay, next, here's a question from...
