The Fellowship of The Mystery

Welcome to Truth Time, where you'll get a shot of the truth with no chaser.
And now, your Truth Time host, Trey Searcy.
Gary writes, you've been a great help to me.
One question, my friend.
The fellowship of the mystery, does that mean Gentiles accepted into the grace of God along with the Jews, or is it the great fact of Jesus coming and dying for mankind?
Ok, Ephesians 3 verses 6-9, That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel. Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God, given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
Paul says, Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.
Beautiful words here from our apostle.
The fellowship of the mystery is the church which is his body, a body made up of both
believing Jews and believing Gentiles.
Not Jews that heard and believed the gospel of the kingdom, and for that matter, not Gentiles back there who heard and believed the gospel of the kingdom, no, Jews and Gentiles who heard and believed Paul's gospel.
That's the fellowship of the mystery, the two made one, and this fellowship of the mystery body is continuing to grow as we speak.
Whether Jew or Gentile, there's only one way to get in it, by resting your faith in Christ by believing Paul's gospel.
This Jew and Gentile body is called the new creature, the one new man, and don't go looking for it outside of Paul's letters, because it ain't there.
Nothing about it, nothing spoken of this fellowship between the two until after the resurrection.
Following Paul's conversion, the Lord returned to him on multiple occasions, revealing mysteries, revealing his plan for this new church, the church, the body of Christ.
I'll never forget, not long after discovering that Christ stopped imputing my sins before I was born, and learning that Paul was my apostle, and how to rightly divide the truth and so forth, I'll never forget how I wanted to kick myself for not seeing some of these Bible truths sooner, truths that were right here all along, hidden in plain sight, as the saying goes, like the simple fact that other than Paul's letters, nowhere in the Bible, now think about it, nowhere in God's word can we find anything about a church called the body, the body of Christ, the church which is his body.
Peter and his crew, the only time they mentioned the body was in a physical sense.
They never mentioned a body that pertained to the church.
Hey, that was a new concept.
Remember Peter, things that this fella Paul writes, hey, they're hard to understand.
Remember him saying that?
That's because Peter had never heard anything like this before.
Not until Paul told him, Galatians 2, where they shook hands in agreement.
Hey Peter, don't worry, I'm not here to build on another man's foundation.
My church isn't coming along to replace yours, as some falsely teach.
No, this is separate and apart from you and your little flock.
This is the one new man.
This is the new creature.
And not understanding this is why many today still tell us that we need to get our sins remitted, remission of sins.
No, that was Peter's church.
Their sins were put in remission, but even our future sins were forgiven.
Remission only speaks of sins of the past, Romans 3:25.
Repent and be baptized for the remission of sins, yeah, that's Peter.
And Peter in 2 Peter 1:9 mentions purged from your old sins.
Why only old sins, Peter?
Because that's their good news.
They haven't gotten them all blotted out yet.
And we know that from what Peter said in Acts chapter 3.
And they won't get them all blotted out until the Lord returns.
Paul's church doesn't just get our old sins purged.
We had all, all of our sins put on Christ, blotted out before we were born.
Therefore, we know it's not our old sins because it was before we were born.
Thankfully, we're a part of the fellowship of the mystery, Ephesians 3:9.
But watch what the previous verse says.
Watch.
Paul wrote, verse 8, Unto me who am less than the least of all saints is this grace given that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
Friends, you want to hit the spiritual lotto, wrap your mind around this, this hidden fellowship, the fellowship of the mystery.
Once hidden, now revealed.
Written down in the 13 epistles of Paul, information previously unsearchable.
Jesus in John chapter 5, search the scriptures, they testify of me.
Hey, if Israel wanted to learn of themselves and their riches, their promises, where did they go?
They went to their scriptures.
Their scriptures.
Yeah, all scripture is profitable, but only if the word of truth be rightly divided, recognizing the differences.
Israel could search their scriptures and find their covenants, find their promises, their riches, but we find our riches in the writings of Paul.
That's why he said that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
In Colossians 1, he said, I am made a minister according to the dispensation of God, which is given to me for you.
This mystery, which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but is now made manifest to his saints, to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery.
Ephesians 5, he said, This is a great mystery I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Ephesians 3, he said, When you read what I wrote, you can understand my knowledge in
this mystery, the mystery of Christ, about this new creature being formed in Christ.
This new creature's future destination is heaven.
But wait a minute, Israel's future promises are earthly.
Earth equals time past Israel.
Heavenly places, well, that equals us, the one new man.
Jew and Gentile in one body, unbelieving Jews and Gentiles, never having believed the gospel of the kingdom, but are believers of Paul's gospel.
Before Paul, no one was preaching, not a soul was preaching Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery.
In Israel's scriptures, you and I were what?
Ephesians 2, Aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers from the covenants of
promise.
We didn't have an ounce of hope.
We were without God in the world.
Praise the Lord evermore for this fellowship of the mystery, a time where a rotten scoundrel like myself is able to find your loving grace, a time which I am privy to Paul's liberating message about the unsearchable riches.
And for those who don't know it, it's because they made a choice, a choice not to know it.
Those choosing to remain ignorant, and Paul tells them in Romans 11, I would not have
you to be ignorant, ignorant of this mystery, how that Israel has been blinded in part.
Yeah, until the fullness of the Gentiles come in.
With all the discouraging and depressing things we can wake up and see on the daily news, it's all around us.
Hey, that's the bad news for this present evil world.
But, we have Christ in us, the hope of glory.
Praise God.
If you're a saved and sealed member of his body, a part of this fellowship of the mystery, when you wake up in the morning, you have great cause to put a spring in your step.
We've got good news, my friend.
This ain't about CNN and the Fox network.
Oh, no.
This is about the fellowship of the mystery, the greatest news this side of Calvary's cross and the resurrection.
God predestined this thing.
He predestined the fellowship of the mystery before the foundation of the world.
And it's only hidden in most church buildings.
But it's not hidden in the scriptures.
It's been revealed to and through the apostle Paul.
Remember those, uh, those guys of Berea, Acts chapter 17?
What were they doing?
Searching the scriptures.
Looking for what?
The fellowship of the mystery?
That would have been a big waste of time.
Paul hadn't wrote of it yet.
No, they were searching for the good news about the Messiah.
They were looking for proof.
Proof that Jesus was him.
That would have had to come first before hearing and believing Paul's gospel.
The fellowship of the mystery is where we can go and get a clear understanding of Flip Wilson's, church of what's happening now.
Had a fellow I was discussing this with.
He read off verse five, Ephesians 3:5, which in other ages was not made known into
the sons of men, as it is now revealed into his holy apostles and prophets, and prophets, he said.
And he smiled like he had just revealed the, the mic drop gotcha verse.
His claim was since the word prophets was used, that this was something known even in
the Old Testament.
So I had him to turn to First Corinthians chapter 12.
And there in verse 28, Paul said, God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets.
And his smile disappeared.
What he had failed to understand is there were prophets in Paul's early church, and continued to be, while that which is perfect, the revelation of the mystery, was still being revealed.
Folks, there is no gotcha verse.
This Pauline understanding that you've come to, it is the only thing that makes sense.
You've tried all the denominations, you've tried all the rhetoric, you followed after
this man and that man, you've read every book you can get your hands on.
And it still didn't make sense.
Something's always been missing.
This is it.
The fellowship of the mystery.
Paul said, I'm a teacher and an apostle of the Gentiles.
Compare that to what the church of Jerusalem said.
They went about preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
Read that, Acts chapter 11, I think.
They went about preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
Paul said, I'm a teacher and an apostle of the Gentiles.
But the Jerusalem church went about preaching to none but unto the Jews only.
That's pretty simple.
This kind of thing kind of leaves you scratching your head.
How can they not see this?
But then of course we know the answer, Paul tells us, 2 Corinthians chapter 4.
If our gospel be hid, it's hid to them that are lost, he says.
In whom the God of this world, Satan, has blinded their minds.
It's sad, especially when it's loved ones or people close to you that you used to go
or maybe still go to church with.
That church building, I should say.
Those that have no clue about the fellowship of the ministry.
And you attempt to share it with them and they look at you like you're green and have
two antennas on the top of your head.
Blinded by their tradition.
By Satan's evil policy that religious institutions follow and don't even know it.
Worldwide religion puts the emphasis in all the wrong places.
A listener just told me that at his church they mostly teach out of the books of James, Peter, and John.
Great information in those books.
You need to read them.
It will help with putting all this together, with connecting the dots.
But you won't find your salvation there.
It's absent.
So the church has got you in Peter, James, and John, and Matthew.
And meanwhile, Paul said, James, Peter and John, hey, they who seem to be somewhat.
In conference, they added nothing to me.
Remember that?
Galatians chapter 2.
They added nothing to him, but he added something to them.
Oh yeah, yet this Sunday, you'll go to that building and hear from the ones that can't add anything to Paul's fellowship of the mystery.
Religion will only take you backwards.
In those letters is where you'll find the searchable information.
Peter chapter 3.
That which was spoken since the world began.
But you've got to go to Paul to find the unsearchable information that was kept secret since the world began.
Romans 16:25.
Oh, if this stuff was any plainer.
The fellowship of the mystery.
Believing Jews and Gentiles.
Those that hear Paul's gospel.
Believing Jews and Gentiles placed into one body.
The one new man, the new creature.
Not the earthly kingdom, heavenly kingdom.
Not about earthly blessings, spiritual blessings.
Spiritual blessings in heavenly places.
Not about being under the law, under grace.
Regardless of what Catholics tell you, Peter's not your apostle.
Paul is.
We're not Petrine, we're Pauline.
That was a good question, Gary.
We don't know Jesus after the flesh, 2 Corinthians 5:16.
We're a group of believers, known after the spirit, not after the flesh.
Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he's a new creature.
Old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new.
One of the things that become new was the fellowship of the mystery.
One of the old things that have passed away was Jesus in the flesh, during his earthly ministry.
We don't follow Jesus after the flesh, nor do we find our salvation in his earthly ministry.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
It was there that Jesus came not but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Don't believe it?
Read it for yourself.
Matthew 10:6 and Matthew 15:24.
