Is Jesus the Father?
Let's find out.
A group of Jesus-only-ists who rightly divide, sometimes, they say he is.
We've heard from several of their listeners who are no longer falling for it, thank God, but they're asking a lot of great questions, so we're here today to help whomever we can to untangle the confusion, because God is not the author of that.
We want to help you work smarter, not harder.
Okay, instead of speaking and shouting like a charismatic Pentecostal, trying to manipulate the verses, let's get started here.
We're just going to unpack the straight-up facts.
Straight-up scripture that destroys, obliterates, puts the death knell in the coffin of the Jesus-is-His-Own-Father business.
So let's get down to it.
Belly up for a shot of truth minus the sensationalism.
Truth minus fluff.
Here we go.
Get your Bible and look at Isaiah 9:6. We have no clue why, but this is their banner verse, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
Okay, let's unpack this.
We began with a question, okay?
When will the government be on the shoulder of Jesus?
Look at the verse.
Pay special attention to those two words, "shall be."
You can't claim to rightly divide but not know this.
You just can't.
Isaiah said the government shall be, shall be upon his shoulder.
You claim to understand timelines, well, here's your chance to make full proof of that.
Shall be deals with time.
So when does this refer to?
This verse that tells us when Jesus shall be the Father.
Here's an elementary-type question for you.
Is our government, now listen, think.
Is our government on the shoulder of Jesus today?
Elementary questions can be answered by elementary students, but oddly enough, sometimes they fly right over the head of full-grown adults.
If today the government is on the shoulder of Jesus, then Jesus, you're fired for doing a horrible job.
The government is not on the shoulder of Jesus, which means there is no honest believer, no honest believer of God's infallible word that's going to be able to walk away from this lesson today and still insist that he's currently operating as the Father.
Because when he is the Father, he will have the government on his shoulder.
When a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, he'll either quit being mistaken or cease to be honest.
See, you only get two educations, the one you're given and the one you give yourself.
So as we just learned, here's an education, as we just learned, from the mighty prophet Isaiah, saying Jesus is currently the Father, is nothing short of running over to Israel's mailbox and stealing their mail.
Now, I understand I'm under grace and stealing won't affect my salvation, but I still choose not to do so because it's not a good thing.
It's not pleasing to my Lord.
The prophet here is prophesying that a day will come, shall be, he says, a day will come when Jesus will be the Father.
So he gives us the answer.
It's during the millennial reign on earth, a time that is outside the parenthetical, but now dispensation of grace.
That's where we live.
Every Jesus only-est, every one I've ever met, and I've met hundreds, there hasn't been one who knows how to rightly divide the word of truth.
Not one.
Not one makes the distinction between Paul's current administration and Israel's future administration.
And now we have some that say they do rightly divide, acting just like them.
Jesus operating as Father to Israel, my friend, that's future.
Not time present, but time future.
This is prophecy for Israel here in her earthly kingdom, and it has nothing to do with the church, the body of Christ, you and I.
It concerns Israel's prophetic timeline, and there's simply no mystery here.
Isaiah 9:6 debunks the entire argument.
Out the window it goes.
Game over.
Hey, the game is over, but some didn't hear the buzzer.
The prophet Isaiah is the prophet to Israel, and their prophetic clock has had its batteries removed.
It's not running.
God took out the batteries, and honey, it ain't going to restart until this current time of mystery concludes.
Until the fullness of the Gentiles, until that last person gets saved, and the body of Christ has reached full capacity.
It won't happen till then, I promise.
How do I know?
Because God's word is true.
Now back to the verse.
Isaiah says, his name shall be called the Everlasting Father.
So the Jesus-only gang, they grab this, run, Forrest, run.
Hey, it would behoove some to stop and study the words that you're going to use.
A little etymology never hurt anyone.
It's wise to know the meanings of the words before throwing them around.
Take the word, "everlasting."
Compare it with the word, "eternal."
These two words don't mean the same thing, okay?
Everlasting has a beginning, but no end.
Eternal has neither.
No beginning, no end.
Isaiah speaks of Jesus being the Everlasting Father.
Everlasting has a beginning, but no end.
Isaiah is prophesying about the future when Jesus will have his everlasting beginning as their father.
And as the prophet says, that beginning shall be when Jesus is sitting on his throne, ruling with the born-again 12 tribes of Israel.
Now that's when he'll hold the government on his shoulder.
The earthly government will finally be in a proper condition, in its perfect condition, by the way.
The Jesus-only-est should have seen this.
They talk about correcting others, but can they be corrected?
Well, we all make mistakes.
But after, what we do after that, after coming to the knowledge of the truth, that's where the rubber meets the road.
That's where the men are separated from the boys.
Now, you want to leave here today after being shown the truth and continue to say that Jesus is currently operating as the Father?
Go right ahead.
But be a man worthy of his salt and stop saying, you rightly divide the word of truth.
I might also add that whomever decides to study this out on their own, now listen, listen to me, whomever you are, if you will do your own personal research minus the group think, minus the team think, minus the camp think, minus the herd, you'll study yourself right out of Jesus-only-ism.
Yes, you will.
Only those who elevate and follow personalities will miss this and continue to be fooled with these strange doctrines.
And they'll keep coming.
They always do.
When dealing with the Word of God, never compromise truth.
Compromise for no one.
This isn't about friendships, valued relationships, and don't allow anyone to heap a bunch of man-made books on you either.
That's just more confusion.
More confusion from men who are not even equally yoked themselves.
One book from this guy, one book from that guy, another from here.
They don't even agree with each other.
Hey, what do I need with a man-made book when I've got a God-made one?
Forget a book.
Get into THE book.
Forget a commentary.
Get into THE commentary.
Instead of spending some time alone with their creator God, it's like my wife said, they pull some from this guy, some from that guy, morph it all together until it looks like something from Dr. Frankenstein.
A part of this, a part of that.
Stick it together and look what you got.
You've created your own monster doctrine.
It's disfigured is what it is.
I know I can be a hard pill to swallow at times, but some need a shot of truth with no chaser.
Spent their entire lives walking through the mud.
M-U-D, mixed up doctrine.
And have gotten so used to it that it's become their comfort zone.
Mud, don't fail me now.
Kind of like a hoarder who gets offended when you try to help him clean up.
Let me challenge you.
Let me challenge you to keep it clean.
Keep it simple.
Get yourself a Bible with no notes, no man-made commentaries, and get in there and consider what Paul says. 2 Timothy 2:7.
And watch and see if the Lord won't keep his promise and give you understanding.
Oh, it won't happen all at once, but he'll do it.
And if you come across something that you don't understand, don't fret.
It's not going anywhere.
Move on and revisit it later.
