Listener: All Paul was preaching was Jesus is the Son of God, that's not the gospel of grace.
TTR: Acts 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
This is NOT the gospel of the kingdom. In Acts 13 Paul was preaching that all who BELIEVE are justified from ALL THINGS, from which they could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Act 13:43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
To continue in what???
There's this claim being parroted by those who follow preacher Rodney, that Paul somehow knew nothing at all concerning his gospel or even that he would be the apostle of the gentiles based on what is left out of the Acts 9 account of his conversion. I'm trying to figure out why anyone who is saying that, doesn't pay any attention to the other accounts in Paul's OWN words.
Act 26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
These are the very words of Jesus Christ to Paul when he was struck blind on the road to Damascus. This is Paul recounting to Agrippa exactly what Jesus told him right then on that road while Paul was blind.
Paul was preaching THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS and that ALL WHO BELIEVE ARE JUSTIFIED BY ALL THINGS as early as Acts 13.
Then, Paul says this before he goes to Jerusalem the final time:
Act 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
RECEIVED is past tense.
Paul had already RECEIVED the ministry to testify the gospel of the grace of God BEFORE Acts 20. He was preaching it in Acts 13 to unbelieving Jews AND Gentiles. He was talking about the gospel of grace in his early letters which were written DURING the book of Acts. He had already been to Corinth BEFORE 1st Corinthians 15:3-4 was written where he refers to the gospel of salvation that he had ALREADY preached.
But Paul didn't know the gospel of Grace yet? The very gospel by which he was SAVED and told to preach to the Gentiles? He didn't even know he was supposed to go to the gentiles until Ananias told him? He was only preaching that Christ was the Son of God?
You're kidding, right?
Listener: I can see where Rodney is coming from.
Well, then you're probably ahead of Rodney. I don't think HE even sees where he's coming from at this point.
Listener: 1 and 2 thessalonians definitely mathew 24:30-31.
TTR: Nope. But I'll get to that in an upcoming podcast.
Listener: 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 is at the LAST TRUMP and then it follows with Isaiah 25:7-8 PROPHECY is fulfilled. Over the years not one mid acts teacher has had an answer for the LAST trump and how in the world death can be swallowed up BEFORE the great tribulation.
TTR: I can't help what “not one mid acts teacher” has had an answer for over the years. Maybe they should study more, or maybe you should find someone who HAS studied it and ask them. Better yet, get equipped in the Word, dig in and figure it out for yourself. I will be addressing it soon enough (I said so in the description of this video.) It has literally taken Rodney months (and still counting) of 2-3 sermons per week to build his dung pile. So don't expect all of his false claims to be addressed in a single go.
Listener: 2 Corinthians 12:1 Progressive revelation.
TTR: Is someone arguing against progressive revelation? I thought all people who refer to themselves as “dispensationalists” were supposed to believe in that already. I will say that I've NEVER heard of anyone claiming that Paul “got it all in one zap” on the road to Damascus. Even a person who only cracks open a Bible on holidays could see that Paul's revelations were progressive. That supposed claim that people think Paul learned EVERYTHING all at once is just a strawman argument, and we don't waste time addressing those. So, if you're planning to go there (like Rodney does) with your reference, you might want to rethink it.
Listener: Also, 2 Peter 3:15-16 says that Paul did write to the little flock.
TTR: And? You're going to base a theory that changes everything that Paul says due to supposed “audience differences” on a single verse taken out of context? That's a leap. AND you're saying that if Paul wrote to the Little Flock, he wouldn't have enough sense to write to them in a separate letter so they wouldn't be confused about who he was talking to – since Paul (according to Rodney) splits messages between the two groups in single written down sentences within his letters?
Paul also tells us that God isn't the author of confusion. Who do you think told Paul to write down the words in his epistles
Listener: How can you guys be so particular about some things, yet you believe were on a spinning ball speeding through space when the bible says nothing of the sort. But everything to the contrary.
TTR: Squirrel!!! How did we jump to what Rodney has taught you to flat earth? Is he teaching this now too?
I don't even know where you came up with that statement. I've not even addressed the flat earth theory. There are more important things to worry about. Does it really matter what shape the earth is if people are still dying and either going to heaven or hell when they leave it
Priorities matter, or they should anyway. -But I guess when you remove all accountability for ambassadors of Christ as ministers of reconciliation, by trying to claim the judgment seat of Christ isn't for us – then who cares what you do in the body of Christ while on this earth, right? I suppose that line of thinking does give people more time to chase baseless theories and Major in supporting them without any concern for the lost.
