Listener: "you make God out to be a liar when you insinuate John when he calls Jesus The Lamb of God who TAKE AWAY the sins of the world. What did Jesus say in his dying breath? "IT IS FINISHED" not "IT COULD BE FINISHED..."
TTR: From your statement, I can tell that you have only watched this one video and quickly made a knee-jerk response without doing your homework. (Something I find common among universalists)
You wasted a lot keystrokes to only say what we have been saying since the birth of Truth Time Radio.
Fact: Jesus took away the sins of the world.
Fact: All of humanity's sins were imputed to Christ.
Fact: No one has any sins in their account.
But what you missed is Paul taught universal forgiveness not universal salvation.
Forgiveness and Salvation are spelled different because they ARE different.
Sadly, universalists have yet to figure this out.
Salvation is NOT getting your sins forgiven, it's BELIEVING they already ARE.
Listener: "Tell me Mr. Truth Time, Do you believe the Apostle when he wrote that, "For as in Adam we all die, so in Christ all will be made alive."
TTR: Yes I do. But the better question is, do you understand that you are making my argument FOR ME?
Watch..... 2 Corinthians 2:14-16 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ,
Who triumphs? Those IN CHRIST.
and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
How many groups do you see?
Read on...
To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life...
Two groups. Them that are saved, and them that perish. That does NOT support universalism.
Hopefully you got that. If not, let's try again:..
Galatians 3:25-26 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
WHO are the "children of God"? Is it EVERYONE as the universalist claim? Or is it only those who have "faith in Christ Jesus."?
Do YOU believe the Apostle? If so then you should have just seen that not everyone is God's children.
So now, back to the verse you brought up. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:22)
If you believe the verse, only the "in Christ" will "be made alive."
Again, this does not square with universalism.
Listener: "that's TOTAL reconciliation."
TTR: Wrong. In 2 Corinthians 5:19 we see that, God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself. But in verse 20 Paul said, "we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.:
Obviously that is not "TOTAL reconciliation." The hearer must respond by faith.
Christ died for everyone's-every-sin. Meaning sin no longer stands between God and humanity. The way was cleared for God and man to pursue a relationship. Sin is no longer an issue for salvation. Through Christ, God did everything needed to reconcile "the world unto himself". NOW, by faith we can "be ye reconciled to God.
This is what Paul's prayer was for. If we do not need faith to be "reconciled to God." then Paul's prayer was for NOTHING.
Listener: "The last enemy to be destroyed is death." Tell me how can death be destroyed if there are those still dying or dead?"
TTR: Sorry, but you completely lost me here. I have no clue how this supports your belief system.
Let's take a look...
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. (1 Corinthians 15:25-26)
The "he" that "must reign" is Christ. You do know do you not that he is not currently reigning, right? This is speaking to his FUTURE reign -- here on earth -- in his kingdom.
So again, just how does this support your claim?
Listener: "I urge you, become a follower of Jesus Christ not a follower of John Calvin and Augistine and the traditions of men."
TTR: LOL. There is nothing traditional about Truth Time Radio. We teach AGAINST traditions of men. And you obviously haven't watched my videos exposing the "church fathers", or the series I did exposing John MacArthur, John Piper, Paul Washer, and Ray Comfort (as well as the so called "church fathers.")
Do me a favor, before you continue to make so many false allegations and baseless assumptions. Try applying yourself and doing a little more research. You're not doing yourself or your cause any favors by making so many knee-jerk nonsensical statements.
