Ray Comfort is a false-teacher teaching a false-gospel. How can we say that with such certainty? Because any "gospel" that includes human effort before, during or after salvation, is a false gospel. (counterfeit)
He is a closet works-salvationist in a grace disguise. Saying that salvation is by faith in one breath, and you must stop, turn and forsake all your sins for salvation in another. Ray is a gospel perverter.
He is joined by Kirk Cameron, Paul Washer, John MacArthur, Todd Friel and others in spreading this poisonous counterfeit gospel.
Confessing sins and turning from sins in order to have right standing with God, were part of the works based law program for Israel in time past. However, neither have anything to do with becoming a member of the church the body of Christ.
I exposed Ray in a Truth Time program using his OWN words. He made it clear as to how he thinks someone is saved. In the video he tells a young lady she must STOP sinning, live in holiness and THEN trust Christ.
Like all the other works-salvationist, he does not teach anyone how to go to heaven, but rather how to live a more honorable life while here on EARTH.
Instead of obeying God, by being a minister of reconciliation, he has taken on the role of professional fruit-inspector. Instead of telling others that God is not imputing their sins unto them -- and is waiting on them to rest their faith in his Sons finished work for salvation -- he tells them how to clean up their act.
This is classic cart-before-horse.
An unsaved person needs to be saved FIRST then allow God to HELP them with their act. His Spirit cannot do a work in them until they first hear the gospel and believe on Christ for their salvation.
There is only one thing worse than going to hell. Going there and being surprised! 😮
