(A Facebook post by a long-time listener and faithful sister in Christ, Ness Pilcher.)
Sometimes I read something on someone’s post and am reminded of how subtle and cunning Satan is - for there is nothing new under the sun and Satan himself knows the weakness of human flesh. In particular, to not study the scriptures for ourselves thus protecting our mind by the discernment of His word.
A long time ago the Holy Spirit reminded me by His word, that there will be some who, by lack of spiritual understanding, and pride, will naturally lean unto their own understanding, merely to gain some sort of following or recognition, instead of humbling themselves before His word, thus they will and cannot be corrected.
The old ‘ignorant Jesus theory’ had been around grace circles for a very long time and because of a new influx of ‘newbies to the faith’ it has reared its ugly teaching head again, by those who are either wilfully ignorant (parroting others) or wilfully deceiving (to gain statue /standing among others).
It comes down to whether you believe Almighty God at His word, or whether you believe someone who is willing to play Bible gymnastics in order to gain status.
If someone is incorrect, then are we able to stand on the word of God, or would we prefer to allow Satan to confuse and wear us down, to ‘keep the peace’?
It’s nothing new that the Lord Jesus Christ’s deity is and always has been under attack, the subtlety of Satan’s craftiness usually comes from a teacher we trust, instead of the word of God that we are to stand upon.
It will benefit you most, if instead of blindly trusting man, you instead believe the book, believe God and understand that just because He hasn’t ’spelled it out for you’ doesn’t mean that you gain your understanding from the intent of man instead of having faith and trust that God is who He says He is. Neither was He partially or fully ignorant as man, He was and is Almighty God, He didn’t ’become God’ nor did He ‘flick a switch between being as man and being God’ He knew all things and chose to speak for His Father’s purpose, in obedience to the Father.
100% GOD & 100% MAN - the WORD OF GOD DECLARES THIS unequivocally.
There is One, WHO IS Truth and WHO HAS NOT changed, the Risen LORD JESUS CHRIST, GOD ALMIGHTY – who ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS IS and FOREVER WILL BE; 100% FULLY GOD and 100% FULLY MAN – GOD ALMIGHTY!
1 Timothy 3:16 (AKJB) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
JESUS CHRIST - Colossians 1:19 (AKJB) For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
...IS THE CREATOR.
Genesis 1:1 (AKJB) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

...IS OMNIPRESENT.
Colossians 1:17 (AKJB) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Hebrews 1:3 (AKJB) Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
...IS BEYOND PHYSICAL LIMITS.
Matthew 8:26 (AKJB) And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
...ACCEPTS WORSHIP WHEN ONLY GOD IS TO BE WORSHIPPED.
Matthew 4:10 (AKJB) Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Deuteronomy 5:6-7 (AKJB) I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.Hebrews 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. Matthew 14:33 (AKJB) Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
...CAN ONLY BE SAVIOUR IF IN FACT HE IS GOD.
Hosea 13:4 (AKJB) Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. Philippians 3:20 (AKJB) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Titus 1:4 (AKJB) To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.
...IS CALLED THE ‘HOLY ONE’ SAME AS GOD THE FATHER.
Isaiah 40:25 (AKJB) To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Acts 2:27 (AKJB) Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
...IS CALLED REDEEMER, SAME AS GOD THE FATHER.

1 Peter 1:18-19 (AKJB) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
...JESUS FORGIVES SINS AND ONLY GOD CAN DO THAT.
Isaiah 43:25 (AKJB) I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
Mark 2:5-7 (AKJB) When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. 6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
...IS ALSO CALLED THE ‘I AM’ (did He not know that)?
Exodus 3:14 (AKJB) And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Acts 9:5 (AKJB) And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
...IS ALSO CALLED THE JUDGE OF THE HEATHEN.
Joel 3:12 (AKJB) Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
Matthew 25:32 (AKJB) And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
...IS ALSO CALLED THE ‘FIRST AND THE LAST’
Isaiah 44:6 (AKJB) Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Revelation 22:13 (AKJB) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
...EVERY KNEE BOWS TO BOTH.
Isaiah 45:23 (AKJB) I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Philippians 2:10-11 (AKJB) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
— BEFORE HIS GLORIFICATION, THERE IS HIS IDENTIFICATION.
Philippians 2:6-9 (AKJB) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
...IS GOD NOT JUST IN JOHN 1.1 BUT ALSO.
Romans 9:5 (AKJB) Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
1 John 5:7,20 (AKJB) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
...WAS PIERCED, JUST AS WAS GOD.
Zechariah 12:4,10 (AKJB) In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
...SHED GOD’S BLOOD.
Acts 20:28 (AKJB) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Revelation 1:5 (AKJB) And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
...RAISED HIMSELF FROM THE DEAD as did God and the Spirit.
Romans 6:4 (AKJB) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 8:11 (AKJB) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
John 10:17-18 (AKJB) Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
John 2:19 (AKJB) Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
...IS A ‘MAN’ ALL THERE IS TO JESUS CHRIST...???
Mark 13:32 (AKJB) But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Philippians 2:6-9
*FROM THE NEW REVISED STANDARD....6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited,7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, 8 he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death—even death on a cross.
...HAS MORE THAN ONE POSITION THAT HE TAKES.
Isaiah 9:6-7 (AKJB) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
IF CHRIST DOES NOT KNOW ALL THINGS, THEN HE IS NOT GOD.
Job 42:2 (AKJB) I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.
Isaiah 40:28 (AKJB) Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

John 1:48 (AKJB) Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
(WHICH WOULD NOT BE TRUE IF HE HAD NONE OF THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD AND ONLY KNEW WHAT THE FATHER TOLD HIM)
John 6:64 (AKJB) But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
John 16:30 (AKJB) Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
John 21:17 (AKJB) He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. Colossians 2:2-3 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
NOTE AGAIN, POSITIONAL TRUTH ...
Hebrews 2:8 (AKJB) Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
..... IF CHRIST ONLY KNEW OT AND WHAT GOD TOLD HIM THEM IT WOULD BE WRONG TO SAY CHRIST INSPIRED THE BIBLE
2 Timothy 3:16 (AKJB) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
1 Peter 1:10-11 (AKJB) Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
