The Living God, Who Giveth Us Richly All Things To Enjoy

1 Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Speaking of "things to enjoy" - Faith and I awoke this morning to witness one of God's most magnificent creatures - His hummingbirds. 🐦

Their beauty and complexity is a reflection of God's character and creative ability.

Colossians 1:16 "for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth,"

As they played and ate (and fought over food a bit) I thought of how fortunate I am to be alive to experience yet another glorious day under this present "dispensation of the grace of God." Another day to be grateful of all we have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So today, may we all be grateful for what Christ accomplished for the world on the cross. It was there that God stopped imputing sins to humanity's account.

2 Corinthians 5:19 "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them;"

While this liberating news sounds foreign to most, it is the very thing we've been commissioned to herald! -To proclaim peace between God and mankind.

And is why Paul goes on to say....  "and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation."

The very thing we were commissioned with, is what gets overlooked the most. -Proving Satan to truly be the "god of this world."

Now let's get to work telling the unbeliever how to be saved. How that Christ died for their sins, was buried and rose the third day to justify all that would believe on Him.

My prayer is "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints" (Ephesians 1:17-18)

Grace and Peace.
