I heard tell at one time that banks teach their new tellers how to identify counterfeit bills, not by studying the counterfeits, but by studying the genuine bills. After doing so, any counterfeit someone handed them would be instantly recognizable.
When you think about it, that same concept works well with studying our Bibles. Become 2 Timothy 2:15 so familiar with the preserved word of God in the King James Bible, that when you read or hear a counterfeit message, you will immediately recognize it.
