2.) Beware of Jesus Only Mid-Acts Dispensationalists

WTTR Truth Time Radio.
Welcome to part two of the Star Wars Jesus series.
We're still searching.
Searching for Star Wars Jesus, but have yet to find proof of his existence.
But, hey, the search continues.
In 2 Corinthians 11, Paul said there just might be some that cometh preaching another Jesus.
Another Jesus whom we have not preached.
He feared that that would happen just as the serpent beguiled Eve.
She was beguiled through the serpent's subtlety, and Paul feared that the Corinthians' mind would be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Christ is God.
The Son.
Not God the Father.
Simple.
So, be careful.
Be careful not to receive another spirit which ye have not received.
The Star Wars Jesus gang, hey, they're out here teaching and writing books about things they don't understand.
They've received another spirit, and are preaching another Jesus.
And he's not the one Paul tells us to trust in for salvation.
The Father did not die on the cross.
Having a correct understanding of the Godhead is paramount to the, to the very foundation by which we stand.
Some ignore this, and instead they, they have chosen the yellow brick road as their path to enlightenment.
Folks, Godhead is literally deity, and was never a hidden mystery.
It is not a mystery that was only revealed to Paul.
Now, we've heard some teach this, but that's not true.
It was revealed in the Old Testament, and in the new Old Testament, as in the book of John, Hebrews 9:16.
See, any time, any time you pick a verse, you go and pick a verse and remove it from its context to teach a new pet belief you've adopted, you've just opened Pandora's box of problems.
And that's precisely what some are doing.
That's precisely what they've done with the "Jesus is his own Father" theory, and the verses they misused to prop that doctrine up.
They've done it in several places as you heard us expose in Part 1, and we've got more to come.
But today we'll zero in here at the book of John.
So, let's take a look at John chapter 14 and see if we can present a, let's see if we can do a proper exposition of the text.
John chapter 14.
John chapter 14 starting at verse 6.
John 14:6, In verse 5, Thomas asked Jesus, "How can we know," "How can we know the way?" "Jesus saith unto him I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Does not Jesus make this clear?
If the only way, if the only way to the Father is through the Son, then the Son is not the Father. Personally, I think a child can get this.
Verse 7, "If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him."
Verse 8, "Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us."
Verse 9, "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet (ye) hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"
Lazy proof texters will take this verse and say, "See, this means Jesus is the Father."
This is what happens when you're part of the herd, and that you'd like to go into places, find a verse, rip it from its context, and misuse it to prove a point.
The herd of proof-texters.
But when we read all the text instead of just a proof text, we see that the context doesn't always prove the point we wanted to make.
Verse 10, Watch, "Believest thou not that I am in..." (What?) "...I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he (The Father) doeth the works."
Amazing.
Simply amazing the difference that it'll make when we just read the context instead of grabbing a proof text and running off and starting a damnable heresy.
Jesus said, "I am in the Father, and the Father in me."
And then he said, "I speak not of myself."
Then apparently myself, God the Son, is not he that I speak of, which is God the Father.
Amazing.
You see, now we understand what Jesus meant when he said, "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father."
He's simply stating because the Father is IN him, not IS him.
Big difference.
But if you take that verse, that one verse, and run with it, there you are, out there foolishly telling others that Jesus is his own Father.
But when we keep reading, we can't help but see the fallacy of that.
Jesus said, "I am in the Father, and the Father in me."
He didn't say, "I am the Father, and the Father is me."
Same goes with 2 Corinthians 5:19.
God was IN Christ.
IN Christ.
The Father did not hang on the cross.
The Father did not die on the cross.
God the Father at no time, at no time has God the Father ever died.
And if that teaching ain't heresy, nothing is.
So, did God die on the cross?
He most certainly did.
But not God the Father.
See, this was all a part of the perfect plan.
God the Son had to die on the cross for the world's sins.
Flesh was needed.
Flesh was needed to carry out this redemptive plan.
Jesus is not his own Father.
Never has been.
Never will be.
Jesus was God manifest in flesh.
1 Timothy 3:16.
Folks, Jesus is God, but he's not the Father.
Because God is more than the Father.
Jesus is God, but he's not the Father.
Because God is more than just the Father.
God the Father, God the Son, God the Spirit.
Hey, everyone wakes up at different times.
So it's our job to keep being the alarm clock.
WTTR Truth Time Radio.
Welcome to part two of the Star Wars Jesus series.
We're still searching, searching for Star Wars Jesus, but have yet to find proof of his existence.
But hey, the search continues.
Verse 11, "Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake."
Verse 12,"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my..." (Who?) "I go unto my Father."
Who goes unto his Father?
The Father goes unto the Father?
No.
Verse 13, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do,..."
Now, don't burn rubber through the text here.
But rather, slow down and pay close attention.
So we don't miss the clear distinction coming up.
"...that the Father..." "...that the Father may be glorified in the..."
Is the next word, "Father?"
That the Father may be glorified in the Father?
Would that make sense?
No.
And that's why it doesn't say that.
It says, "...that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
God the Father, God the Son, God the Spirit.
The Father may be glorified in the Son.
May be glorified IN the Son, not the Father IS the Son.
Don't change the King James Bible text.
A very clear distinction for anyone that can read and comprehend what they're reading.
Verse 14, "If ye shall ask anything in my name,..." (The name of Jesus), "I will do it."
Verse 15, "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Verse 16, "And I will pray the Father,..." (Who?) "...I will pray the Father,...?"
Wait a minute.
That doesn't go along with the narrative.
The Jesus is his own Father narrative.
Nope.
But it goes along with Scripture.
This isn't the Father praying to the Father.
That math just ain't mathing.
That math only maths in a galaxy far, far away where the mythical Star Wars Jesus lives.
And listen.
This Jesus is his own Father thing?
Hey, it's nothing new.
It won't be the first time we've dealt with this and won't be the last.
It's just an old heresy that's resurfaced.
Satan has many counterfeits for God's truth.
His counterfeits never completely disappear.
They come and go.
They fade off into the shadows for a while, but resurface.
Yeah, you can rest assuredly they always come back.
I was dealing with the oneness UPCI folks back in the 80s.
United Pentecostalism.
Okay, continue here.
We're in verse 20 (actually verse 16), "And he..." That's the Father. He's speaking of the Father. And notice he said, "He," not, "me," "...shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;"
Verse 21, "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of (me.) Did it say that? Were you paying attention? It said, "...he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father." Jesus ain't the Father. Read, "...and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."
Verse 22, "Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?"
Verse 23, "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him,..." "...and,..." what's that word? "...we..." "...we..."
Mic drop moment here. "...we will come unto him, and make our,..." "...we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." How do they miss this?
Verse 24, "He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine,..." What? "...the word which ye hear is not mine,..." Well, so whose is it, Jesus? "...but the Father's which sent me."
Verse 25, "These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
Verse 26, "But the,..." Now watch. Watch carefully. If you don't blow through this here, you'll see the three in one. So don't miss it. "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,..."
So there you go.
Those with spiritual eyes, you got it.
Folks, break free from the gullible mass.
Study these things out for yourself.
Be a leader, not a follower.
Follow no man other than Paul.
He wrote, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ."
That's the only one we follow.
We follow Paul as he followed Christ.
And he never instructed us to follow anyone, any other man other than him.
As ambassadors equipped with the ministry of reconciliation, we are to preach the gospel to go out and win lost souls.
Proverbs 11:30 comes to mind, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. And he that winneth souls is wise."
Those who preach that Jesus is the Father are preaching another Jesus.
That's not the one Paul tells us to trust in for our salvation.
The Father did not die on the cross.
Okay, stay tuned and be sure not to miss part three.
Part three of this Star Wars Jesus series.
We will be expositing more verses.
Download the WTTR free mobile app.
And remember to keep the main thing the main thing.
It's all about Jesus and his cross work.
The gospel is not the ABCs of our faith.
It's the A to Z of our faith.
The very essence of the gospel should center around the cross work and the resurrection of Christ Jesus, who is God the Son, not the Father.
And on the cross, it was there and then that God the Father forgave our every sin because of the perfect sacrifice of God the Son, Jesus.
God the Son gave his life to pay our ransom.
Then he was buried.
But after three days and nights, praise God, he arose.
And today you can make the transition from death to life by placing your trust in him who was delivered for our offenses and was raised, raised again for our justification.
Now that's good news.
Rest in that today.
Grace and peace.
