Listener: I will conclude that i disagree with u. I Heard his explanation with lots of bible verses to back up his statements (I was checking them). And then hearing the way he is telling the gospel, caring about people, his fruits is real! And the videoes i watched saying he is a false teacher, just said it in a unfruitfulway(not loving) and did not really have any spesific proof other than using his Words against him. In addation i have talked to some of my friends who thinks he is such an inspiring and wonderful teacher who is giving out the good news regardless of the way some say he is not a good teacher!
TTR: "lots of bible verses to back up his statements"? Are you being serious?
Okay Ida, here is a statement for ya: Ida, you need to sell all your possessions and give away all the proceeds.
Now here are bible verses to back that statement up: Acts 2:44-45 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
So you see, we can make "statements" and cite "bible verses" to back them up, but that does not mean that those verse are for US to follow. And is why in 2 Timothy 2:15 we are told to RIGHTLY DIVIDE the word of truth. Rightly divide the truth that WE are to follow, from the truth that was written for someone ELSE to follow.
Listener: And then hearing the way he is telling the gospel.
TTR: Which video is it where I might find Ray "telling the gospel."? I would love to see it.
I have researched him for many years and have yet to hear him tell someone to rest in Jesus and his finished work for their salvation. He always gives THEM something to DO.
Saved people trust that Christ died for all their sins, but all I've ever heard Ray tell someone is to STOP SINNING to be saved.
Rays "gospel" does not have one shred of the salvific gospel that is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. And I challenge you to find just one of his teachings where he tells someone that God is not imputing their sins to them. (2 Corinthians 5:19) That would totally rock my boat 🚣♂️ and make my day!
Listener: unfruitfulway(not loving).
TTR: Warning others of someone who claims to preach the gospel but doesn't -- so they will know who to "mark" and "avoid" (Romans 16:17) is one of the highest FORMS of love. You do know that Jesus and the apostles did that, right?
Listener: not really have any spesific proof other than using his Words against him.
TTR: Ida, I cannot be anymore specific than that. What better way to expose someone than to use their own words?
So if what your friends say is your determining factor in deciding what is true, then you came to the wrong place. (There is nothing I can do for you) We are called Truth Time for a reason. We weigh the evidence against the word of truth with little regard to the opinions of others.
